JOBSEEKERS are to get more support as 80 new Jobcentres open across the UK.
The sites, some of which are already up and running, will be in addition to the existing 639 Jobcentres already supporting those looking for work.

It will house some of the 13,500 new work coaches, of which 10,000 have already been recruited.
The new Jobcentres are located in cities across the UK, including Birmingham, Leeds and London – you can check out the full list below.
The Sun has asked the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) which ones have already opened and when the others will welcome jobseekers.
The announcement comes as the latest unemployment figures showed that the number of Brits without a job hit 1.7million in January.

Around 11,000 more workers lost their jobs as the UK endured its third national lockdown.
Meanwhile, the Office for Budget Responsibility expects unemployment to hit 2.5million at its peak in 2021.
The new Jobcentres will help those who have lost work or may need to retrain due to Covid, with the aim to get people “back on track”.
They’re set to be temporary, but the DWP is yet to confirm how long they’ll be available for so we’ll update this article once we get a response.

Mims Davies, minister for employment, said: “With more new, temporary Jobcentres in place in the heart of our communities, we can support even more people impacted by the pandemic to find work and progress into new roles.”
“We’ve already boosted our DWP work coaches by 10,000 – and with these new local Jobcentres to operate from, we can drive forward our plan for jobs, creating fresh opportunity for people all across the country.”
